Little Chute Hydro

The Little Chute Hydro Plant was constructed in 1948. The brick superstructure houses (3) – 1,100 kW turbine-generators

Since the original construction, no major structural repairs have been required. The powerhouse utilizes the head pressure created by the Little Chute Dam which is owned, operated, and maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

  • At ideal water conditions, the Little Chute Hydro plant can produce enough energy to power over 2,500 homes.
