Involvement

Being part of the community we serve is a role that Kaukauna Utilities takes seriously. As a utility, we work hard to be an active participant by lending a hand in community service projects.

We have pledged a strong commitment to, not only our customers, but to our community. Through a number of civic-minded activities, Kaukauna Utilities has fostered strong relationships that help further our connection to the community.

We also support a large and varied number of community organizations through contributions that will help meet a need in the community.

The following are just a few examples of our contributions and involvement in the community:

KU Employees participate in the Little Chute and Kaukauna Christmas Parades.

The Utility sponsors three scholarships each year totaling $4,500 for local high school seniors.

KU donated funds to the following school related activities in 2009

  • The DREAM Team at KHS
  • Freedom Football Club
  • Electric City Youth Soccer Association
  • KHS Volleyball
  • Kaukauna Girls Basketball Association
  • St John’s Athletic Association
  • The Phantom Wrestling Program and KHS Wrestling
  • The KHS Electrathon Team sponsoring the electric car

Community Projects which KU supported in 2009 include the following
  • Donation of time and materials to the Little Chute Windmill Project
  • Sponsor the T-shirt programs for the Kaukauna Recreation Department and the Little Chute Recreation Department
  • Sponsor the “Lil’ Angler Fishing for Fun” program.
  • The Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival
