Local Students Receive Scholarships

Kaukauna Utilities recently awarded four scholarships to graduating seniors from local high schools. Students who reside in the Kaukauna Utilities service area are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

A $2,500 award was presented to Brady Vande Hey, a senior in the Class of 2009 at Kaukauna High School. Brady plans to study mechanical engineering at UW Stout in the fall.

A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Curtis Stark, a 2009 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic Central High School. Curtis plans to work toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering at UW Platteville this fall.

Andrew Zautcke, a 2009 graduate of Little Chute High School, also received a $1,000 scholarship and will be majoring in engineering or related field at the University of Minnesota.

A special $500 scholarship was presented to Jeremy Meulemans of Kaukauna. Jeremy is enrolled in the Electric Power Distribution course at NWTC with a career goal to become a utility line worker or electrician.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL FOUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

High school seniors, whose parents or legal guardians are customers of Kaukauna Utilities, are eligible for these scholarships. Kaukauna Utilities believes in supporting local students in their pursuit of continuing education.
