Public Power Week - October 1 - 7, 2006 (9/29/06)

Kaukauna Utilties Celebrated Public power Week, Oct. 1-7, 2006 and sponsored a Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Activities Activities included:

  • Raffle for kids 15 and under for a $200 Gift Certificate to ReCyclist, Inc.

  • WINNER: ALEC DUCHENY, a seventh grade student at Riverview Middle School.
  • Customer Raffle for an Energy Star 21 cu ft Maytag Refrigerator from Premier Appliance in Little Chute

  • WINNERS: CHAD AND CARA BERKEN of Kaukauna

    Kaukauna Utilities is celebrating along with more than 2,000 other electric utilites that collectively provide electricity on a not-for-profit basis to 43 million Americans.

    We all take for granted the availability of electricity. It's an absolute necessity day in and day out. Having a community-owned electric system providing our power allows us to make decisions localy on how we want to use our resources for the betterment of the community

    Public Power Week is a national, annual event sponsored in conjunction with the American Public Power Association (APPA) in Washington, D.C. APPA is the national service organization for community and state-owned electric utilities.
