Kaukauna Utilities sent a Rodeo Team to compete in the Seventh Annual
American Public Power Line worker’s Rodeo in Atlanta Georgia on
April 13th and 14th, 2007.

The Journey Linemen competed in five timed events:

  • Dead and Grounded Cross Arm Change out
  • 12kV Layout Arm Insulator Change out
  • 12kV OCR Change out
  • 4kV Dead End Pole Transfer
  • Hurt man Rescue

The linemen from KU who competed in the rodeo were Corey Huntley, Tyler Leick, Neil Jack and Line Foreman, Jack Wolter, as an alternate.

Neil Jack, Brian Willms and Corey Huntley competed as a team in the 2006 MEUW Lineman’s Rodeo in the fall of 2006 and were declared Grand Champions of that competition.

Following are some pictures from the big event.
