Celebrates Public Power Week, Oct. 1-7, 2006
Kaukauna Utilities is celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 1-7, along with more than 2,000 other electric utilities that collectively provide electricity on a not-for-profit basis to 43 million Americans.
Public Power Week is a national, annual event sponsored in conjunction with the American Public Power Association (APPA) in Washington, D.C. APPA is the national service organization for community and state-owned electric utilities.
We all take for granted the availability of electricity. It’s an absolute necessity day in and day out. Having a community-owned electric system providing our power allows us to make decisions locally on how we want to use our resources for the betterment of the community.
Kaukauna Utilities invites community members to participate in a Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for a variety of Public Power Week events.
Activities include:
- Raffle for kids 15 and under for a $200 Gift Certificate to ReCyclist, Inc.
- Customer Raffle for an Energy Star 21 cu ft Maytag Refrigerator
- Ice Cream, Soda and Popcorn
- Helium Balloons, Safety Flashers, Trick or Treat bags
- Bucket Rides from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Kaukauna Utilities is dedicated to providing the highest possible level of service to our customers.
