Over 400 customers turned out at Kaukauna Utilities electronics recycling event held on Saturday, September 19, 2015. In all, employees from Kaukauna Utilities and staff from Recycle That Stuff collected more than 45,000 pounds of electronics!
Among the electronics collected were:
- 375 TV’s
- 153 computer monitors plus 3,721 pounds of CPU’s
- 124 freon filled devices
- 22 appliances
- Numerous printers, cell phones, vacuum cleaners, dvd/vcr players, radios, batteries, fluorescent lamps, etc.
“We appreciate that so many local residents have gone to the effort of recycling their old electronic devices rather than throw them in the trash. This event is one more way Kaukauna Utilities helps our community to preserve the environment,” said Jeff Feldt, General Manager.
